Yesterday Banbury Food for Charities got an entire crate of filberts: basically hazelnuts in their shell. Valerie says that filberts are like cobnuts but not as round. Anyway, here is a recipe for filberts:

Shell first (that is the hard part). Microwave for 3 minutes with a little butter and salt. Stir well and microwave again for 3 minutes until they start to brown. Delicious!
